This is home to Arkansas Tech University, just over one mile from our door. Some of our guests are fortunate to be staying on pleasure trips to the area. This part of north-central Arkansas is a land of scenic beauty and lovely lakes. We’re minutes away from Lake Dardanelle State Park on the Arkansas River with 315 miles of beautiful shoreline to explore. The Petit Jean State Park is 30 miles away, with trails and stunning overlooks. Just outside the park, The Museum of Automobiles has antique and classic cars on display. With its natural thermal springs and three recreational lakes, the famous resort of Hot Springs is 75 miles south. And 75 miles southeast is the state capital, Little Rock, with its many cultural attractions and vibrant nightlife.

A thriving town injected with the 10,000-strong enrollment of Arkansas Tech University, we’re a vibrant place nestled between the Ozark Mountains and the Ouachita Mountains. We are surrounded by four lovely state parks with a dozen smaller parks within city limits. Pleasant View Park has an 18-hole disc golf course. M.J. Hickey Park has a municipal swimming pool, a skateboarding park and even a radio-controlled airplane/car park. We host the Pope County Fair at summer’s end, attracting 50,000 visitors. Downtown hosts a quarterly art walk, complete with food and live music.
